11 Plus Tuition

11 Plus assements can be taken in Year 4 or Year 5.

Step 1

There is also an option to select a specific 11+ test covering: maths, English, verbal and nonverbal reasoning.

You can select whether your child is just starting their 11+ journey or whether they have been working towards the exam for a while.

What is it?

Weekly 11 Plus lessons focusing on maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Lessons can last 1, 1.5 or 2 hours depending on the time you have available during the week. The lessons are individual to your child’s needs i.e. if a child needs help with comprehension and vocabulary in particular, that becomes the main focus but in every lesson we would try to cover a little maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning too.

When do they run?
We offer 11 plus lessons all through the year at a centre near to you. Your child can join lessons at any time during the year. We recommend that when you get that feeling that your child should start 11+ preparation, then that is when you begin. 

Who is it for?
Year 4 to year 5 children, whether your child is just starting on their 11+ journey or they have specific topics they want to cover just before the examination, we have over 40 years of experience helping children to pass examinations 

Why should I take it?
Weekly lessons are wonderful for building confidence and learning new skills. We encourage our pupils to bring in any problems they are having with work at school and with any work they are doing at home with you. Please note that schools do not provide work on verbal and non-verbal reasoning so, your child will need to practice those types of questions outside their normal school day.   

When should I take this?
Starting 11+ preparation early does not guarantee your child will pass, but it will give them time to learn new topics and revise them before the exams.  

What is it?
12 hour intensive revision courses covering, maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. 

Each child has a folder they will work through. Some topics may be revision whilst others may be new to your child. 

Every course is different and children build on their skills knowledge and confidence with each course they attend. 

We also provide study cards, worked answers and videos for use right up until their examinations.

When do they run?
We offer 11 plus courses all through the year during half term and holidays.

Who is it for?
Year 4 to year 5 children. Our courses are suitable for all, no matter where your child is along their 11 Plus journey. 

Why should I take it?
In year 4 consolidate Year 4 mathematics and English skills, work on verbal and non-verbal reasoning, skills which are not taught in school. Then push on to work on year 5 mathematics and English so you have covered much of your year 5 work by the end of year 4 and are ready for learning 11+ topics.

Year 5 right from the first course in October our 11 Plus courses are teaching and revising 11+ topics, we work on study skills and deliver pep talks to your child on how to deal with the stress and expectations of taking the 11 Plus exams.

When should I take this?
There are up to 11 weeks of holiday courses available in Year 5 starting from October Half Term right through to the Summer Holidays before the 11 Plus exam. Choose the right time for your child to take an intensive course and the earlier you book the cheaper they are.

What is it?
5 x 2 or 3 hour 11 plus exam papers under exam conditions

When do they run?
We offer 11 plus mock exams in the summer holiday before the 11 Plus exam.

Who is it for?
All year 5 children who are planning to take the 11 plus

Why should I take it?
Taking a mock 11 plus exam under exam conditions helps the child experience the stresses and strains of taking an exam.

We provide guidance and valuable tips on time keeping, how to answer multiple choice questions, how to fill in the answer sheet correctly etc

The mock exam also highlights areas that need extra help, however we advise parents to start their 11 plus journey earlier than the summer holiday to give their child plenty of time to prepare.

When should I take this?
We offer mock exams during the summer holiday before they take their 11 plus exam.

What is it?

20, 16, 12, 8 & 4 week courses, 1 x week – 1.5 to 2 hours per session

The child completes a practice paper, followed by a session to go through questions on the day.

(Not to be confused with 11 plus mock exams – we offer mock exams to give your children real exam experience to make them aware of the process so they can be better prepared.)

When do they run?
We offer 11 plus practice paper courses all through the year

Who is it for?

• Year 4 to year 5 children
• Children who are ready to start practicing exam style questions
• Children who come for lessons
• Children who are prepared to work at home

Why should I take it?
We can take the heavy lifting and work through papers with your child. Practice papers help children understand the level and type of questions they could be asked. They also identify areas that need help and support.

When should I take this?
We recommend most children to start with practice papers as soon as possible. We offer practice papers for both year 4 and year 5 children – appropriate to their needs. 11 Plus practice paper courses can be used in conjunction with lessons to provide extra support where needed.

This depends on where your child is on their 11 plus journey.

Our 11 Plus assessments are CEM or GL and are taken online, they will apply to all 11+ areas.
