The Extra Tuition Centre is built on a philosophy of learning and academic teaching; it is an organisation that deals in providing an educational service to its clients. So it is only natural that this should be adopted as a work ethic, and be extended to its employees. This atmosphere of individual learning and development is an attitude we aim to infuse and encourage within all the people we work with.
We strongly believe that the people who work with us, are the ones who fuel and reinforce this aim. As an organisation that has been awarded the ‘Investors in People’ Award, the Extra Tuition Centre has proven that it places the employee at the heart of all of its operations, ensuring that as members of the organisation, they are people who can in turn help others progress and achieve their full potential. The range of people working with us speaks for itself. Some are qualified teachers working full time in schools, or ex-students that have succeeded in reaching their academic goals with us, and have returned to help others do the same.
It is this genuine passion for learning and teaching that carries us forward and helps us grow as a family. It also enables us to offer advice, experience and training to those who wish take up teaching and tuition as a profession. Our comprehensive induction programmes are also designed to train our teachers and assistants to these ideals. Every person is shown how they can be an asset to the business and a valuable contributor to the work we do. Regular evaluations within these posts shed light on areas of potential growth. This growth can clearly be seen in the number of centres we have opened over the years. This was achieved by the initiative we took as an employer who trains its staff to realise potentials and fulfil goals. The experience we have garnered over the years from clients and staff has helped us spread this philosophy.
